An Aerospace client based in Sudbury currently require a Project Engineer.
POSITION: Project Engineer.

JOB PURPOSE:
To be involved with and manage various projects within the department, providing timely and cost effective solutions for both internal and customer generated specifications. Varied skill base but with an Electrical bias.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate customer tender requirements, fully discussing and exploring to establish technical content and deadlines.
Prepare ideas / solutions to requirements and consult with work teams to agree and confirm the proposed solution. Identify key stakeholders and carry out a cost benefit analysis of the proposed project.
Develop both high-level and detailed project plans to identify risks, key measures of success and provide clarity and detail to the deliverables.
Once approved, initiate the project management sequence starting with the Design Review meeting.
Liaise with customers (both internal and external) at all stages of each project, discussing, informing and consulting to ensure that the customer specifications are met.
Resolve queries and problems to best of ability before escalating up to next level. Act as a ‘trouble-shooter’ to minimise errors and provide workable solutions.
Hands on practical engineering where required and as necessary to ensure each project progresses within agreed timescales.
Deliver project plans ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
Direct, manage, control and communicate various other projects as required within the department.
Review project deliverables against plans and initial specification. Carry out successful demonstration of product to customer.
Conduct a final project review prior to production handover, celebrating successes of the project and identifying weakness with action steps to prevent future recurrence.

Must have electrical background and proven project engineering ability
